Rewind to circa October 2011.
Car history;
First, Punto 55sx. May 2008 - July 2009
Second, Peugeot 206 XSi. July 2009 - June 2010
Third, Honda Civic EP2 Sport. June 2010 - May 2011
Then, I had a Milano EP3;
Then I crashed it...
Literally the same week my commute to work changed from 5 miles a day to 100, so I needed a Diesel preferably. I viewed two sheds and then saw this;
Reflex Silver 130pd GT TDI, 6 Speed, 93k, full VW service history.
When I got her home;
I said I wasnt going to modify her because it was meant to be a stop-gap whilst I was working in Sheffield, so I fitted my C2 aerial;
Ipod headunit;
Angry bird (Now on my rear-view mirror)
...and some plates without dealer logos etc.
Found a bit of rust around the tailgate handle, common problem due to the rear wiper washer weeping onto the mechanism;
It needed the timing belt doing, so I ordered a full kit, pipercross filter, auxiliary belt, water pump, new fluids and filters etc;
Fitted this myself, which was a real ballache tbh.
Oh and purchased these from DPM Motorsport for £150.00 which I made from selling bits of the EP3.
Debadged and dewipered the rear;
Then got a few good mates round and this happened;
Got some TT Comps with tyres for cheap, decided to fit them and refurb sometime this year;
Dropped, rear adjusters still in;
Took the adjusters out the same night in a pub carpark, and she sat like this;
Experienced some bad rubbing from the front ARB which hoops over the driveshafts, so I got this from an Audi S3;
Up in the air again, couldnt have done this without the myths;
Rubbing solved.
A nighttime shot;
So thats it atm. Im in two minds whether to get a company car but I wouldnt be able to tinker and would have to keep for 4 years
so not to sure about that. I hated it at first, really did, but now Im using it every day Im actually really liking it, its brilliant on the motorway.
So if I keep it;
Spacers - front rubs on full lock and the rears could do with coming out 30mm or so.
US Spec rear lights
US Spec front bumpstrip
Sharan rear badge
Lupo/Arosa wing mirrors
Change the effing alternator pulley and cv joints
And then run it into the ground and get another EP3 when im not working as far
Shout out to Gav, Alex, Chris, Adam, Jack and everyone else whos helped out.
